Venus Williams ready to retire buzz-worthy dress

PARIS (AP) — Once she leaves the French Open, Venus Williams will be done wearing the black lace dress that's drawn so much attention.

Williams says Friday the corsetlike outfit she designed will be be "retired" after the tournament. She adds: "As great as the design is, I really want the focus to be on the tennis."

The American has advanced to the fourth round at Roland Garros with three straight-set victories. She has worn the dress in each one, drawing as many questions about her fashion statement as her strokes.
