Vegas, McGirt share lead at TPC Summerlin

Jhonattan Vegas and William McGirt both under 63s Thursday to share the first-round lead at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The duo missed the course record at the TPC at Summerlin by two strokes.

Nathan Green and Charlie Wi are tied for third place at minus-seven.

Nick Watney, who was the regular season FedExCup points leader, is among 11 players tied for fifth place at six-under 65.

Vegas had 10 birdies and two bogeys in his round of 63, while McGirt had a bogey-free round with eight birdies.
