Cody Ransom and Justin Upton both hit two-run homers as Arizona downed Miami, 9-5, in the finale of a four-game series.

Willie Bloomquist knocked in a pair of runs, while Gerardo Parra, A.J. Pollock and Ryan Roberts drove in a run apiece for the D-Backs, who took two in a row and three of four in the set.

Making his major-league debut after a call-up from Double-A Mobile, Patrick Corbin (1-0) allowed eight hits and three runs, fanning six and walking three over 5 2/3 innings.

"I felt a little bit like I was trying to make a perfect pitch, throwing a little bit more balls than I wanted but I feel like I came back and battled back today," said Corbin.

Donnie Murphy and Austin Kearns each posted two-run blasts for the Marlins, who have dropped eight of their last nine.

Mark Buehrle (1-4) served up eight hits and seven runs -- four earned -- over five full frames.

"Very lousy baseball, period," said Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen. "This game is about adjustments and we're not making any adjustments."

Despite seeing a seven-run lead whittled away to two, the D-Backs picked up a pair of insurance runs in the ninth.

Upton led off with a single and stole second, then Paul Goldschmidt walked and Ransom was plunked to load the bases. Parra's grounder to first resulted in an out, but Marlins first baseman Gaby Sanchez threw wild at home, allowing Upton to score. Pollock followed with a sacrifice fly to center, plating Goldschmidt for a 9-5 game.

J.J. Putz finished off the victory by stranding a runner on third in a scoreless ninth.

Miami couldn't score with the bases loaded and one out in the home first, and Arizona made the most of its chance in the second. Goldschmidt led off with a single and scored on Ransom's blast to left center.

The D-Backs tacked on five more in the fourth. Bloomquist doubled in two with the bases loaded and one out, Roberts lofted a sac fly to left and Upton ripped a two-run shot to left.

John Buck began the home fifth with a single and pinch-hitter Murphy deposited a Corbin pitch over the wall in left, then a Sanchez sac fly in the sixth to score Omar Infante, pulled the Fish within 7-3.

It was 7-5 in the seventh as Hanley Ramirez reached on a Ransom error and Kearns cleared the left-field wall.
