The draw for the 2012 Olympic basketball tournament in London was held Monday and the United States was placed into a group that will include Argentina, France and Tunisia.

Two other nations who have yet to qualify will also join Group A. Group B currently consists of Australia, Brazil, China, Great Britain and Spain, while one more nation will be added to that quintet.

The United States men won gold at the 2008 Games in Beijing, while Argentina captured the Olympic title at the 2004 Games in Athens.

In the women's draw, the United States was placed into Group A with Angola, China and three remaining qualifiers. Group B in the women's tournament will feature Australia, Brazil, Great Britain, Russia and two other qualifiers.

The American women have captured gold in the last four Olympics.
