Travis Browne was accused of some pretty horrible physical abuse over social media by his ex. Browne was never charged with a crime and all that seems to be left is a great deal of hurt, according to him.

"It was hard to listen to what people were saying about me," he told media members in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

"At the same time, I know what I did and what I didn't do. And I was able to sleep at night, no problem."

Browne got emotional discussing the abuse allegations, saying that he'd beat up any of us if he heard we were abusing a partner. Browne said that he took solace in those around him knowing what kind of man he is.

"This was the first time I've really talked to any media. I took myself out of it ... The people that are around me understand what kind of man that I am," he continued.

He said he and partner Ronda Rousey relied on one another during hard moments over the past year. "We were there for each other when we needed it the most," he said.

"When we felt like everybody was against us, when everybody was trying to knock us down, we were there for each other."

In the end, Browne maintains his innocence and said that living peacefully and happily is the only way he knows how to move forward after the allegations. "I've just gotta go out there and live my life and be happy," Browne said.

"Being happy is the best way to deal with those things."
