Storrs, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Morgan Tuck poured in 26 points and handed out eight assists as the top-seeded Connecticut Huskies thrashed the 16th- seeded St. Francis-NY Terriers, 89-33, in the first round of the NCAA Women's Tournament at Gampel Pavilion.

Breanna Stewart tallied a double-double for UConn (33-1) with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and also dished out five assists. Gabby Williams chipped in 15 points, and Kia Nurse added 12 in the monumental victory.

The Huskies advance to the second round of the tournament to take on eighth- seeded Rutgers Monday. This is the ninth season in a row UConn entered the tournament as a No. 1 seed, and are now 80-9 all-time when playing as a one- seed.

Sarah Benedetti scored 13 points to lead the way for St. Francis-NY (15-19). The Terriers only made 21.7 percent of their shots from the floor, and didn't attempt a single free throw in the loss.

UConn finished the game connecting on a whopping 70.2 percent of its field goals. The Huskies held an eye-popping 68-6 advantage in points scored in the paint, and held a lead as great as 59 points with just over three minutes to play in the contest.
