Augusta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tiger Woods stumbled to two bogeys in the last five holes on Saturday, but still carded a 4-under 68 at the Masters.
The four-time Masters winner ended 54-holes at 6-under-par 210.
Woods got off to a quick start with a birdie at the second, where he got up and down from short of the green. He chipped to two feet on No. 3 and kicked that in for birdie.
At the long par-3 fourth, Woods stuffed his tee shot inside a foot and tapped in for his third straight birdie. That moved Woods to 5-under, and he stayed there as he parred the next three.
Woods played his third at the par-5 eighth to six feet. He rolled that in to move to minus-6. Woods ran off four pars in a row from the ninth.
"I did, and I missed a couple short (ones) there at six and seven," Woods said when asked if he thought he had a low round in him after his fast start.
The former world No. 1 snapped hooked his tee shot at the par-5 13th into the trees. He played his second back to the fairway, then dropped his third 15 feet from the hole.
Woods drained that for birdie. However, Woods gave that shot right back as he 3-putted for bogey at 14. He reached the par-5 15th in two and 2-putted for birdie to get back to minus-7.
After a pair of pars, Woods found the right trees off the 18th tee. His second hit a greenside bunker. Woods blasted to 10 feet, but missed the par putt on the left.
"I had my chances to make this a really special round today. I had it going for a little bit there," said Woods. "I made a stupidly good birdie at 13 and then a stupidly bad bogey at 14. It all evens out. If I made a few putts, the score should have been 6- or 7-under today."
Despite the closing bogey, Woods posted back-to-back rounds in the 60s in a major for the first time since the 2012 Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St. Annes. The last time he did that at Augusta was in 2005.
