FIFA revealed Wednesday that three Guatemalan players have been banned from taking part in any kind of football- related activity for life.

Guillermo Ramirez Ortega, Yony Wilson Flores Monroy and Gustavo Adolfo Cabrera Marroquin have been punished by football's international governing body for their involvement in the fixing of three matches dating back to 2010.

After receiving the complete case files, the Chairman of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee decided to extend sanctions taken at national level by the Disciplinary Body of the Guatemala Football Association to have worldwide effect.

FIFA's decisions are in accordance with article 136 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
