AC Milan defender Thiago Silva will miss both legs of his team's Champions League quarterfinal showdown with Barcelona after suffering a thigh injury in Saturday's 2-1 win over Roma.

Silva had to be taken off after 10 minutes, and it was confirmed that he will be out for 3-4 weeks.

The Brazilian will not only miss both legs against Barcelona but also league games with Catania, Fiorentina, Chievo, Genoa and Bologna.

The 27-year-old has started 27 Serie A matches this season for Milan, which sits four points clear at the top of the league.
