Tyler Jones accounted for four touchdowns and Texas State jumped out to a 24-point halftime lead to beat Georgia State 54-31 on Saturday.

The Bobcats (7-5, 5-3 Sun Belt) scored 24 points in the second quarter and added another 13 to take a 40-10 lead at the end of the third. Jones had touchdowns of 13 and 15 yards on the ground, and threw for 9- and 14-yard scores.

Georgia State's Nick Arbuckle threw three of his touchdown passes in the fourth quarter and at one point cut the deficit to 47-31. With 40 seconds to go, Texas State's David Mims intercepted Arbuckle's pass and ran it back 60 yards for a pick-6.

Robert Lowe had 146-yards rushing and C.J. Best had 120-yards receiving for the Bobcats.

Arbuckle finished with 356-yards passing, four touchdowns, and two interceptions for the Panthers (1-11, 0-8).
