Houston, TX – Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is OK to play in Sunday's game against the Ravens after suffering a concussion, Johnson and coach Gary Kubiak said Friday.
Kubiak said safety Ed Reed and left tackle Duane Brown would be game-time decisions.
Johnson said he didn't lose consciousness after being tackled last Sunday by Titans safety Bernard Pollard, who was fined $42,000 after the NFL determined the hit was a blow to the head or neck of a defenseless receiver.
"The only thing was ... when I hit the ground, my head slammed against the turf and everything was blurry and I had a headache, a real bad headache at the time," Johnson said Friday. "I never lost consciousness (and) I was aware of everything that had happened."
Johnson, who has 20 catches for 222 yards in two games this season, made it through the concussion protocol and was back on the practice field Wednesday.
The Texans listed him as probable to play.
"I think he's fine," said Kubiak. "He's ready to go."
Reed continues to work his way back from offseason hip surgery and hasn't played a regular season game yet for the Texans. Sunday would be his first chance to play against the Ravens -- the team he spent the first 11 seasons of his career with.
"He practiced well today," said Kubiak. "If there are no setbacks, we're heading in the right direction but he will still be a game time decision."
Kubiak said "we'll see" about Brown, who missed practice all week with a toe injury.
