Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub left Sunday's game against St. Louis late in the third quarter after injuring his right ankle.

Schaub was sacked by Chris Long with 3:31 remaining in the third and got his lower leg twisted as he went to the ground. He was able to walk off the field under his own power but needed treatment on the sideline.

T.J. Yates took over at quarterback and threw a pick-six on his fifth pass of the drive to boost St. Louis to a 38-6 lead. Yates was picked off again later in the 38-13 loss.

Schaub, who had completed 15-of-21 passes for 186 yards before exiting, had thrown an interception for a touchdown in four straight games coming into Sunday.
