Lyon, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Lyon moved back to the top of Ligue 1 on Sunday, but it was only on goal difference as the club was held to a 2-2 draw by St Etienne at the Stade Gerland.

Lyon entered the day one point back of PSG, and things looked promising when Clinton Njie put Lyon in front 24 minutes into the contest.

However, Lindsay Rose was sent off five minutes later for a hand ball inside his own penalty area, allowing Max-Alain Gradel to equalize from the penalty spot.

Romain Hamouma scored just before the break to put St Etienne up 2-1 at the break, and it looked like the visitors would push on and claim three points.

However, Christophe Jallet equalized for Lyon three minutes after the break to salvage a point for his side.

Lille received an early goal from Nolan Roux and a late goal from Adama Traore to claim a 2-0 victory over Bordeaux and improve to 50 points on the season.

The club, however, remains two points back of Montpellier after Hilton granted the side a 1-0 win over Caen on Sunday.
