Eugene Teague, a 6-9 senior center, registered his third straight double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, pacing Seton Hall to its third straight victory, 71-55, over New Jersey Institute of Technology on Tuesday night.

Seton Hall (7-3) had four players in double figures. Brandon Mobley scored 18 points, Jaren Sina 17, and Sterling Gibbs added 16.

Down 12 points in the second half, NJIT (6-4) got back in it with a six-point spurt. Terrence Smith hit a turnaround jumper in the lane before Tim Coleman sank four free throws to slice the Highlanders' deficit to 53-48 with 5:14 showing.

After Teague threw down a dunk, Gibbs drove to the basket, and Montana Mayfield of NJIT was called for a flagrant foul. Gibbs made one foul shot. Because possession was awarded due to the flagrant foul, Mobley hit a jumper from the side to give the Pirates a 58-48 advantage. Sina continued the run with a layup, and Mobley drained a 3-pointer to stretch Seton Hall's lead to 63-48.

Sina led Seton Hall with a 12-0 run early in the second half. The freshman guard started the burst with a 3-pointer, Teague scored inside, and Mobley tapped in a missed shot before Gibbs completed a dash for a fast-break layup.

Sina capped the surge with a 3-pointer that handed the Pirates a 43-30 lead with 13:12 left. NJIT was held scoreless for 5:51 during the run before Damon Lynn nailed a 3-pointer to end the drought.

Lynn had 16 points for NJIT, which now stands 0-5 against Seton Hall and 0-16 against Big East Conference teams. The Highlanders do not have a single senior on the team and started three freshmen and two sophomores.
