London, England – QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt secured another season in the Premiership on Wednesday by completing a season-long loan move to Fulham.
Taarabt appeared in 31 Premiership games last term for QPR, scoring five goals, but he was unable to help the club avoid relegation.
However, the loan to Fulham will allow the Morocco international to stay in the top flight.
"This was a difficult decision for me, but at this stage of my career I feel I need to be playing at the top level," Taarabt said.
"I hope the fans understand my decision and I really hope to return to Loftus Road one day."
Taarabt was named the 2011 Football League Player of the Year with QPR, and he began his career in France with Lens before moving to Tottenham in 2007.
