Daytona Beach, FL – LPGA Tour commissioner Michael Whan year deal to become the title sponsor of the Symetra Tour, formerly known as the Futures Tour.
"This partnership with Symetra represents an important next step in the growth of the LPGA," said Whan. "We are thrilled that Symetra is adding its brand name to the LPGA's developmental tour, and we will work together with Tom Marra, a longtime supporter of the LPGA, and his team to build the Symetra Tour into something even more special."
The Symetra Tour was started in 1981 and has been the official developmental tour for the LPGA since 1999. The top-10 players on each season's money list earn their LPGA Tour card for the following year.
