Chris Swanepoel parred the second playoff hole Sunday to defeat Trevor Fisher, Jr. and win the Zimbabwe Open on the South African Tour.

"This is a nice win," said Swanepoel. "Against Fisher, he's a really good player and a good guy. I feel sorry for him, but unfortunately there can only be one winner. We can't split it."

After Fisher missed a four-foot par putt on the 72nd hole, the two parred the 18th for the first playoff hole. Fisher went left with his approach the second time and couldn't save par, giving Swanepoel the title.

Swanepoel fired an eight-under 64 to come from behind for the victory. Fisher had a three-under 69 and the pair finished regulation tied at 15-under 273.

Ruan de Smidt, a third-round co-leader with Fisher, only managed a one-under 71 and took third at minus-13.
