GREELEY, Colo. – Tevin Svihovec scored 18 points and Tim Huskisson added 15 to lead Northern Colorado to an 82-62 victory over Stetson on Friday night.
Svihovec shot 6 of 10 from the field and was 6 of 8 from the line. Huskisson finished with 5-of-8 shooting and was 4 for 4 from the line. Dominique Lee added 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Bears (3-2).
Cameron Michael hit a 3-pointer to give Northern Colorado a 33-22 lead with 6:09 to play in the first half, and the Bears led by double digits the rest of the way.
Kentwan Smith scored to pull Stetson within 14 points, 64-50 with 8:12 to play, but would not get closer.
Brian Pegg scored 13 points, Smith had 10 points and Angel Rivera and Cameron Harvey added 10 for the Hatters (2-5), who have lost four straight on the road.
