Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Dallas Stars and forward Antoine Roussel have agreed to a four-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal avoided a salary arbitration hearing.

"Since coming into the NHL, Antoine has been a very effective and hard player for opposing teams to compete against," said Stars general manager Jim Nill in a statement Tuesday. "His skill combined with his competitive grit create energy for our club that impacts our whole lineup."

The 24-year-old Roussel appeared in 39 games during the 2013-14 season for Dallas and has compiled 21 goals with 22 assists for 43 points in 120 games.
