BOSTON (AP) - Goalies Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins and Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens are going into their playoff series on Thursday night after strong regular seasons.

Thomas led the NHL in save percentage and goals against average after sitting out all 13 of the Bruins' playoff games last year with an injured hip. Price started just one of the Canadiens' 19 postseason games after losing his job to Jaroslav Halak.

Thomas said Wednesday - after the Bruins practiced for about 45 minutes - that every year is different and presents a new opportunity. Price started 70 games after the Canadiens traded Halak to St. Louis last June.

During the regular season, Montreal was 4-2 against Boston with one of those wins in overtime.
