A pair of goals from Kolbeinn Sigthorsson on Sunday helped Ajax claim a 2-1 home victory against struggling Feyenoord, which has lost its first three games of the new campaign.

After being outscored 6-2 in its first two matches, Feyenoord got off to a good start on Sunday with Graziano Pelle putting the visitors ahead after only six minutes.

But that strong beginning evaporated before halftime due to a pair of goals from Sigthorsson.

The equalizer came from the penalty spot just after the half-hour mark, and the forward doubled his total six minutes later to provide Ajax with its second win in three games.

Twente rolled to another win behind two goals apiece from Luc Castaignos and Quincy Promes in a 6-0 triumph at home against Utrecht, Den Haag stole a late winner through Michiel Kramer, who scored three minutes into stoppage time to give his side a 2-1 win at NAC, while Heracles notched its first victory of the campaign on Sunday, winning 4-2 at Heerenveen, which had won its first two games.
