Shorthanded Nets host Raptors

The New Jersey Nets will not have All-Star point guard game homestand.

Williams has missed back-to-back contests with the injury and is averaging 22.0 points and 8.1 assists this season. The Nets have lost both games without Williams and three of five overall, including Monday's 105-99 setback versus the Milwaukee Bucks at the Prudential Center.

Kris Humphries had a double-double by halftime and finished with a career-high 31 points and 18 rebounds for New Jersey, which is 4-15 at home this season and is in the midst of playing nine of 11 games in the Garden State.

"Humphries had big numbers tonight," said Nets head coach Avery Johnson. "I wish we could have won."

New Jersey suffered its 10th straight loss to Milwaukee and hasn't defeated the Bucks since March 3, 2009. Jordan Farmar and Anthony Morrow both scored 17 points in a losing effort. The Nets will visit Orlando on Friday before playing three straight and six of seven games at the Rock.

The Raptors ended a two-game slide with last night's 96-88 victory at Cleveland in the opener of a five-game road trip.

Jerryd Bayless scored 20 points and Andrea Bargnani tallied 19 points to go with eight rebounds for the Raptors, who improved to 7-14 away from Air Canada Centre this season. Leandro Barbosa netted 17 points off the bench in the win.

"Overall, I thought everybody played a solid game," said Raptors head coach Dwane Casey. "I liked our focus. I liked our effort We're still a work in progress. There are a lot of things we did good and there are a lot of things we still need to continue to improve on."

Toronto will also visit the Grizzlies, Bobcats and Knicks on the trek. Jose Calderon missed his second straight game with a sprained right ankle and is questionable for tonight.

The Raptors and Nets have split a pair of meetings this season, as both teams have come out on top on the road. Toronto is 10-5 in the past 15 matchups in this series and unbeaten in the last five encounters at New Jersey.
