Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett was carted off the field with 10 seconds left in the first half of Sunday's 23-20 overtime win against the Houston Texans.

Bennett appeared to suffer an injury to his head/neck area after stumbling into Texans quarterback Matt Schaub. Bennett rushed around the right side, lost his balance and then his head collided with the hip area of Schaub, who completed a short pass to Garrett Graham.

It was later termed a lower back injury. He went to a local hospital, where a CT scan came up negative.

Bennett started all 16 games for the Buccaneers in 2012, posting a career- high nine sacks. He originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M in 2009, but was released later that season.
