Metairie, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Saints placed starting cornerback Jabari Greer on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Greer sustained the injury in the first half of Sunday's 23-20 victory over San Francisco.

Since signing with New Orleans in 2009, Greer has started 60 games with nine interceptions and 68 passes defensed.

The Saints signed second-year cornerback Trevin Wade to replace Greer on the roster. Wade spent last season with the Cleveland Browns, but was released in August.
