Third-seeded Lucie Safarova rolled to a straight-set victory over Marina Erakovic on Sunday to take the title at the $235,000 Bell Challenge tennis tournament.

Safarova of the Czech Republic didn't have much trouble in securing her first title since 2008 with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over New Zealand's Erakovic.

In winning her first tournament since Forest Hills in 2008, Safarova notched her fifth WTA title and snapped a streak of five straight losses in finals, which included a defeat at this tournament in 2009.

Erakovic was looking to capture his second title of the year, as the first of her career came at Memphis earlier this year.

Safarova took home $40,000 with the win.
