Andrei Kirilenko scored 16 points and Alexey Shved added 14, leading Russia to a 73-54 rout of China in men's Olympic basketball.

Kirilenko and Shved just became teammates in the NBA, both signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves prior to the start of the Olympics. Sasha Kaun chipped in 13 points in the victory.

Yi Jianlian, who plays in the NBA for Washington, was the only Chinese player in double figures with 16 points.

China opened the game with the first four points, but Russia followed with an 11-2 run and never trailed again. It was 20-12 after the first quarter and the Russians led by as many as 19 in the second before taking a 40-25 cushion to the break.

Russia built a 27-point advantage in the third and China got only as close as 18 in the fourth.

The Russians, who held a 46-29 advantage on the boards, improved to 2-0 in Group B, while China fell to 0-2.
