Rubio Rubin, an 18-year-old forward with Utretcht in the Netherlands, was in the starting lineup and set to make his U.S. national team debut in Friday night's exhibition game against third-ranked Colombia.

American coach Jurgen Klinsmann changed six starters from last month's 1-1 tie against Honduras, keeping only central defender Jermaine Jones, left back Greg Garza, midfielders Alejandro Bedoya and Mix Diskerud, and forward Jozy Altidore.

They were joined in the 4-1-3-2 formation by goalkeeper Brad Guzan, right back DeAndre Yedlin, central defender John Brooks and defensive midfielder Kyle Beckerman.

Rubin, from Beaverton, Oregon, signed with Utrecht in March. He is eligible to play for the U.S. and Mexico.
