The Cincinnati Reds activated third baseman Scott Rolen from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.

Rolen, who had been sidelined with a strained left shoulder since early May, was in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Indians.

It was the same shoulder Rolen received surgery on last season, limiting the 17-year veteran to just 65 games.

In his first 29 games this year -- his third full season in Cincy -- Rolen hit .174 with six doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI.
