Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley will undergo surgery on his injured left wrist and will miss the remainder of the season, the team announced Monday.
Beverley will have surgery to repair a torn ligament in his wrist on Tuesday.
He was injured in last Monday's win over Indiana, dropping out of the lineup just days before the Rockets got Dwight Howard back after a two-month absence.
Beverley, known for his backcourt defense, was averaging 10.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 56 games this season.
Houston has already clinched a playoff berth and is battling for first place in the competitive Southwest Division.
