Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Nashville Predators announced that goaltender Pekka Rinne will make his return to action in Tuesday's contest against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Rinne had been assigned to the Milwaukee Admirals on a conditioning stint this past Wednesday, the latest step in his road to recovery from a hip infection.
He stopped 17-of-18 shots on Sunday as the Admirals bean Rochester, 2-1, in overtime.
The 31-year-old Finn hasn't played for the Predators since late October. He had a 4-4-1 record, 2.31 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in nine games before undergoing surgery for the infection.
