Marquis Jones scored 20 points and Rhode Island rallied to defeat Dayton 67-53 on Wednesday night.

Jones also dished out five assists for the Rams (15-9, 6-4 Atlantic 10 Conference). Since the 2007-08 season, Rhode Island is 30-7 when Jones has five assists or more.

Delroy James added 18 points and Nikola Malesevic had 14 as Rhode Island snapped the Flyers' two-game winning streak.

The Rams took a 15-6 lead, with Jones scoring seven in the spurt. Dayton then went on a 21-0 run over the next 9 minutes to lead 27-15 with 3:43 to go until the break.

Dayton (17-8, 5-5) led 29-22 at halftime, but Rhode Island opened the second half with a 14-4 run. After the Flyers closed to 39-36, the Rams used a 14-2 run to pull away for good.

Rhode Island outshot Dayton from the field 40.6 percent (26 of 64) to 35.2 (19 of 54).

Paul Williams led the Flyers with 12 points.
