Marquis Jones made both of his free throws with 7.5 seconds left and Rhode Island forced a turnover on St. Bonaventure's final possession in a 56-55 win on Sunday.

The Rams trailed 55-48 with 5:31 remaining before finishing with eight straight points. Delroy James started the spurt with four points, and Jones capped it with the last four. Both finished with 12 points.

The Rams (11-6, 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) shot just 35.6 percent from the field (21 of 59) but the Bonnies had 14 turnovers, including three in the final 5 minutes.

Rhode Island had just eight turnovers, while dishing out 12 assists.

Orion Outerbridge scored 15 points off the bench for the Rams.

Michael Davenport led the Bonnies (9-7, 1-2) with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Andrew Nicholson, St. Bonaventure's leading scorer (21.7 points per game), was held to just nine points.
