Salt Lake City, UT – The Golden State Warriors' expected acquisition of swingman Andre Iguodala will be part of a sign-and-trade transaction involving three teams, the Deseret News reported on Monday.
Iguodala's previous team, the Denver Nuggets, will send the unrestricted free agent to Golden State, with Utah shipping guard Randy Foye to the Nuggets and the Jazz receiving the Warriors' second-round pick in the 2018 draft in return.
Foye is also an unrestricted free agent, but Yahoo! Sports reported Sunday that the Jazz would sign the long-range shooter to a three-year, $9 million deal before sending him to Denver.
Multiple sources stated on Friday that Iguodala, an Eastern Conference All- Star with Philadelphia in 2012 and one of the top available players on this year's market, had agreed to a four-year, $48 million contract with the Warriors.
Foye is coming off a 2012-13 season, his first with the Jazz, in which he set a franchise record with 178 makes from 3-point range and shot 41 percent from that distance while averaging 10.8 points over 82 games. The seven-year pro had signed a one-year contract with Utah last July.
The seventh overall pick of the 2006 draft, Foye has averaged 11.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds over 471 career games with Minnesota, Washington, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Jazz.
Iguodala, 29, averaged 13.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game during his only season with the Nuggets in 2012-13.
The nine-year veteran has produced 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game over the course of his career. He spent his first eight seasons with the 76ers.
The trade cannot become official until Wednesday, when the NBA's moratorium on player signings and trades is lifted.
