(SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Red Sox have reportedly agreed to terms with pitcher Edward Mujica.
According to Yahoo Sports, the former Cardinals closer will join the World Series champs with a two-year, $9.5 million deal after undergoing a physical.
Mujica earned 37 saves last season for the Cardinals, but struggled toward the end of the campaign and lost his job to Trevor Rosenthal. Mujica, who was 2-1 with a 2.78 ERA in 65 games last year, made just two appearances in the postseason and did not pitch in the World Series against the Red Sox.
The 29-year-old right-hander owns a career mark of 19-19 with a 3.75 ERA in 381 major league games, all but four out of the bullpen, with the Indians, Padres, Marlins and Cardinals.
