The Texas Rangers reinstated pitcher Yoshinori Tateyama from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock Saturday.

Tateyama was placed on the DL on April 4, retroactive to March 30, with a low back muscle strain. He made a rehab appearance for Round Rock on Friday and worked a perfect inning of relief with one strikeout.

The 36-year-old reliever had a 2-0 record with one save and a 4.50 ERA in 39 appearances for the Rangers last season.
