Rangers ink INF Gonzalez to minor league deal

Arlington, TX – The Texas Rangers signed infielder Alberto Gonzalez to a minor league contract with an invitation to major league spring training.

The 28-year-old Gonzalez played 102 games for San Diego last season, batting .215 with one homer and 32 RBI. He's also spent time with the Yankees and Nationals and is a career .242 hitter over 378 contests.
