Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre left Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox in the early stages.

Beltre appeared to be injured when sliding into second base in the bottom of the third inning. Later diagnosis revealed a jammed thumb, which was eventually downgraded to a sprain and laceration which required four stitches to close.

X-rays taken were negative, but he is expected to be sidelined a minimum of two weeks.

Adam Rosales took over at third for Beltre, whose consecutive games streak will end at 191 -- the second-longest in the majors behind Freddie Freeman of the Braves, who sits at 215.
