ALAMEDA, Calif. – Longtime Oakland Raiders chief executive officer Amy Trask has resigned from the team.
Trask says she told owner Mark Davis of her decision to leave the franchise on Saturday. Trask had been with the Raiders for 25 seasons and was one of the highest-ranking women in American professional sports.
Trask was close to late owner Al Davis and says she made a commitment to help ease the transition of ownership after Davis' death in 2011 but no longer wants to be part of the organization. Davis' son, Mark, now runs the team.
Trask had been heavily involved in the team's efforts to get a new stadium to replace the outdated Coliseum in Oakland.
