Pittsburgh senior defensive tackle Aaron Donald has at least one supporter for his unlikely Heisman Trophy candidacy.

Coach Paul Chryst says Donald should absolutely be considered for the award given to the top player in college football. Donald is already a finalist for several major defensive awards.

Donald leads all of college football in tackles for loss. He also ranks 10th in sacks and 11th in forced fumbles. Donald even blocked an extra point that provided the difference in a 17-16 victory over Syracuse last week.

Chryst pointed out that Donald's numbers are better than former Nebraska star Ndamukong Suh, who was a finalist for the 2009 Heisman.

Donald will play the final regular season game of his career on Friday when Pitt (6-5, 3-4 ACC) hosts Miami (8-3, 4-3).
