Auburn Hills, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings is expected to miss at least a few preseason games and possibly the start of the regular season because of jaw issues.

The Pistons said Jennings was examined by Dr. Robert Weaver earlier this week and tests revealed an impacted wisdom tooth as well as a hairline fracture of the mandible at the base of the tooth.

Treatment is expected to include immobilization of the jaw for a three-week period. He will be re-evaluated at that time.

The Pistons begin the regular season on Oct. 30 against Washington.
