Pekka Rinne made 33 saves for his first shutout of the season and 21st of his career in the Nashville Predators' 2-0 victory over the Calgary Flames on Satuday.

Niclas Bergfors and Sergei Kostitsyn scored to help the Predators improve to 3-3-1 and snap a four-game winless streak. Miikka Kiprusoff made 12 saves for Calgary, 2-4-1 in its first seven games.

Bergfors opened the scoring 2:34 into the second period. Defenseman Jack Hillen's shot deflected off Flames forward David Moss and then off Bergfors before bouncing behind Kiprusoff.

Calgary appeared to tie it a short time later when Tim Jackman swatted the puck past Rinne, but the goal was disallowed because Tom Kostopoulos interfered with Rinne.

Kostitsyn scored on a tap-in with 5:24 left in the third.

Notes: The Flames beat the Predators all four times the teams faced each other last season. ... Nashville enforcer Brian McGrattan played his first game against Calgary since suiting up for 34 games for the Flames during the 2009-10 season. ... After scoring twice and adding six assists in Nashville's first four games, David Legwand was pointless for the third straight game.
