NEW YORK (Reuters) - Indiana Pacers back-up point guard A.J. Price fractured his kneecap in a charity basketball game and will be sidelined for four to six months, the NBA said in a statement on Monday.

Price was a second-round draft pick last year from the University of Connecticut and averaged 7.3 points and 1.9 assists in 56 games last season.

Price, who injured the knee on Saturday, will have surgery on Tuesday, the club said.
