Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger underwent successful surgery on his left knee Thursday.

The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews with assistance from team orthopedist Dr. Tim Hupfer. Granger is expected to be ready for the start of training camp for the 2013-14 season.

Granger, who had already missed the majority of 2012-13 season after undergoing a procedure in October for patellar tendinosis, reappeared in the Pacers' lineup on Feb. 25, but played in just five contests before his left knee continued to give him soreness.

The Pacers announced last month that conservative treatment options could not alleviate the discomfort.
