The Canaries were seemingly in control, but Kieran Richardson's low shot found the far corner of the net four minutes from time to cut the deficit to a goal.
Norwich substitute James Vaughan left the match injured just before stoppage time, but his team was still able to see out the final five minutes of added time with 10 players.
