Chestnut Hill, MA – Northwestern quarterback Dan Persa will opener against Boston College because of a lingering Achilles tendon problem.
Persa suffered a ruptured Achilles last November. He tried to warmup before Saturday's contest at BC before being ruled out.
The senior from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania threw for 2,581 yards with 15 touchdowns in 10 games last season.
