GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) Keaton Studsrud threw three touchdown passes Saturday and North Dakota held on for a 21-18 win over Drake.

Studsrud completed 19 of 30 passes for 260 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown strike to Luke Stanley in the first quarter. He also found Zach Adler from a yard out for a touchdown and Josh Seibel hauled in a 22-yard pass for another score as North Dakota (2-0) won its 29th straight home opener.

Drake (0-2) went scoreless in the first half but Josh Lee ignited a second-half comeback with 34-yard field goal. John Hugunin then sacked Studsrud in the end zone for a safety, Conley Wilkins punched in a touchdown from a yard out and Eric Saubert snagged a 13-yard TD pass from Andy Rice to cut the deficit to three with under a minute left.

But North Dakota recovered the onside kick to stall the rally and ran out the clock.
