VANCOUVER - A large, noisy group of fans jammed into the airport today to cheer the Vancouver Canucks as they left for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final.

The Canucks led the series 3-2 and can claim the first Stanley Cup in franchise history with a win over the Boston Bruins on Monday.

Fans waved signs and yelled as the players passed by.

Defenceman Kevin Bieksa says the support was amazing.

He also says the Canucks want to wrap up the series in Boston but know the Bruins are a desperate team.
