NHL announces Western Conference semifinals schedule

The National Hockey League announced the schedule for the first four games of the Western Conference Semifinals on Wednesday.

The semifinal round will feature the fourth-seeded Nashville Predators against the third-seeded Phoenix Coyotes, while the other semifinal series pits the eighth-seeded Los Angeles Kings against the second-seeded St. Louis Blues.

Phoenix and Nashville will get underway with Game 1 on Friday, April 27, with game two on Sunday, April 29. Both games will be played in Glendale, Arizona. Games 3 and 4 will be on Wednesday, May 2 and Friday, May 4 respectively, both at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Los Angeles and St. Louis will commence on Saturday, April 28, and Game 2 will be Monday, April 30. Both games will be played at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The series shifts to Staples Center in Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 on Thursday, May 3 and Sunday, May 6 respectively.

Nashville took care of the Detroit Red Wings in five games, while the Coyotes knocked out the Chicago Blackhawks in six games. Los Angeles ousted the President's Trophy-winning Vancouver Canucks in five games, while the Blues vanquished the San Jose Sharks, 4-1.
