New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, New York Giants linebacker Devon Kennard and St. Louis Rams punt returner Tavon Austin were named the NFC's best players from Week 14.

Newton, who suffered two transverse process fractures in his lower back in a two-car accident Tuesday afternoon, completed 21-of-33 passes for 226 yards with three touchdowns and added a rushing score in the Panthers' 41-10 win at New Orleans to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Kennard was the Defensive Player of the Week after registering two sacks, a forced fumble and six tackles in the Giants' 36-7 win at Tennessee.

Austin returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown and averaged 35.8 yards on four punt returns in the Rams' 24-0 win at Washington to capture the Special Teams Player of the Week award.
