The University of New Mexico has fired 45, in overtime.

That put New Mexico's record at 0-4 to start the season and the last three defeats have been horrendous. They were 52-3 losers at Arkansas on September 10 and one week later the Lobos were beaten, 59-13 at home against Texas Tech. New Mexico dropped a 14-10 decision to Colorado State to start the season.

The school announced George Barlow, the associate head coach and defensive coordinator, will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

Locksley was just 2-26 with New Mexico. He took over as head coach in December 2008. The two victories came in home finales, against Colorado State in 2009 and vs. Wyoming last year.
